NATIONAL OUTDOOR LEARNING ALLIANCE EXPANDS EDUCATIONAL HORIZONS WITH NEW FIELD TRIPS IN THE TREASURE VALLEY

BOISE, IDAHO - The National Outdoor Learning Alliance (NOLA) is thrilled to announce the launch of its innovative field trips for schools in the Treasure Valley, offering immersive outdoor educational experiences designed to foster a deep connection with the natural world.

Committed to enhancing outdoor learning opportunities, NOLA's mission extends beyond the Treasure Valley to make a lasting impact nationwide. The organization is dedicated to providing students with hands-on experiences that align with the Idaho Content Standards, ensuring a comprehensive and educational adventure for Kindergarten to 6th-grade students.

These on-site field trips, conducted from September through May between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., represent a significant step forward in NOLA's efforts to promote outdoor education. The carefully curated programs aim to instill a profound appreciation for nature while catering to the specific needs and interests of students.

Key details of the new field trips include:

  1. Tailored Curriculum: Each field trip is meticulously designed to align with the Idaho Content Standards, ensuring that students receive a curriculum-rich experience that complements their in-class learning.

  2. Immersive Learning: The programs offer hands-on, immersive activities that engage students in a variety of outdoor settings. From interactive nature walks to interactive science experiments, students will have the opportunity to explore and learn in a dynamic environment.

  3. Flexible Scheduling: Field trips are available from September through May, accommodating school schedules and allowing for optimal participation.

  4. Group Size: Each site can accommodate up to 60 students, with groups thoughtfully divided to provide a personalized and safe experience. This approach allows educators to tailor activities to the unique needs of their students.

As outdoor education continues to play a pivotal role in shaping well-rounded individuals, NOLA is excited to bring these enriching experiences to schools in the Treasure Valley. By fostering a love for nature and promoting a sense of environmental stewardship, NOLA's field trips aim to contribute to the holistic development of the students in our community.
